Our nurses personally direct each resident's care. We offer palliative care at an increased cost. We are fully licensed and experienced to give quality care with dignity. Who wants to spend their last days in a hospital when they can be at home.
We are fully licensed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health to provide all levels of care. With LPN’s on shift 7 days a week, working directly with Dr. Bakari who does weekly rounds, we ensure your medical needs are well attended.
Our Care Staff are carefully chosen not only based on their training and professionalism, but also for their ability to listen and connect with all the residents. Whether it be sharing a visit and a snack before bed or assisting a resident to enjoy a nice soak in one of our spa tubs, staff go the extra mile to make life better!
Each residents’ care is based on the routine they want. Shirley Ann, the Owner, personally directs each residents’ care – bedtimes, baths, snacks, personal routines – to make things as comfortable as possible.
Plus, residents enjoy services like hair styling and nail care from the comfort of home! One of our most popular spots on Tuesday and Thursday is the Hair Salon when Wendy is in to make all the ladies and men feel and look great! And, twice a month the lovely ladies from the Wellness Clinic come in to tend to everyone’s fingers and toes.
Her entire adult life, Shirley Ann has enjoyed working with the elderly. From the age of 19, as a Care Aide at The Palliser, to running her own private care business, ICare, she has always enjoyed a special connection with seniors. Shirley Ann has a unique ability to recognize and alleviate the fears people experience at this stage in life. Despite the long list of things people can no longer do as they age, she makes them feel relevant and valued. She is an old soul who enjoys spending time with each one of her clients.
Friends often joked that if she could, she would bring all her clients home with her. Well, in 2017, she did just that! In June 2018, after extensive renovations and a huge amount of effort and dedication, Shirley Ann opened the doors to her new home - Willow Creek Manor by ICare. Along with an incredible, like-minded staff who enjoy the company of seniors and whose passion is elder care, they make 50 grandmas, grandpas, auntie’s and uncles feel loved and appreciated. It’s not just a job for Shirley Ann, it is her home as well and she strives every day to make it feel that way for everyone there.
It was a difficult decision for my mom to leave her residential home and move to Willow Creek Manor in September 2020. She quickly became comfortable with the warm and inviting atmosphere expressed by the employees. It was obvious that the employees enjoyed the work environment and are ‘true caregivers’ in this relaxed environment. The nursing group was informative, cooperative, and professional to deal with.
Also, the food was beyond anything generally provided in any given care facility.
Mom enjoyed the activities which were readily available along with crafts/hobbies — for all to participate in. Throughout my experience in dealing with this private health care facility, Mom truly considered Willow Creek Manor her ‘new home’ and enjoyed everyone’s kindness– like a family. I would highly recommend this unique and picturesque care facility to anyone. The Willow Creek Manor establishment and care facility has proven to truly be ‘one of a kind’.
